Title: General Draftsman
Salary: $30-40,000 Annual
Position: Direct Hire

What is this?
Under general supervision, prepare construction documents for new construction of minimal complexity based on prototype documents, verbal instructions, sketches, and/or formal documents.

What does my day look like?
• Prepare floor plans, site plans, and other drawings in AutoCAD for electric vehicle charging station projects using computer aided drafting techniques.
• Produce informal site plans in AutoCAD with minimal information through verbal instructions and/or sketches for submittal to jurisdictions and utility companies for upfront due diligence.
• Produce detailed site plans in AutoCAD and site adapt the appropriate drawings needed as required in production of the construction documents at the direction of the lead draftsman.
• Be able to quickly and accurately pick up any quality control marks made by the lead draftsman and work to avoid making the same mistakes consistently.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as needed.

• Ability to prepare floor, site, and other architectural plans using CAD drafting techniques.
• Skill in the use of CAD equipment and software.
• Skill in the general use of word documents, email, etc.
• Attentional to detail and pride in one’s work.
• Self-motivated with diligent work ethic and punctual.
• High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified above.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis based exhibited skill.
• A Certificate of Competency in Technical Drafting preferred.

What will the physical requirements be?
Physical requirements for positions include: arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, and reaching; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.
