What is this?
Global company is currently seeking an Instrumentation Technologist to join their Cushing, OK facility. This exciting role plays an integral role in supporting the day to day maintenance of the facility.

What does my day look like?
• Work with the Controls Specialist on the maintenance, configuration and optimization of the facility distributed control system and programmable logic controllers
• Modify and develop controller and logic configurations as required
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and optimize plant process control equipment such as control valves, transmitters, custody transfer meters and gas chromatographs
• Organize and/or conduct daily instrumentation activities
• With the support of the Instrumentation Coordinator, coordinate work activities with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering
• Participate in preventative maintenance programs, incl. generation of work orders/capturing work history
• Contribute to short and long-term planning for facility optimization
• Provide assistance and direction to Engineering regarding project work

What does the perfect candidate look like?
• Associates Degree or greater in Instrumentation Technology
• Previous experience with Bailey/ABB DCS, SCADA Pack PLC’s, Allen Bradley PLC’s, Siemens gas chromatographs preferred
• Experience with a CMMS such as Maximo would be considered an asset
• Self-starter who is proactive and shows initiative
• Strong interpersonal skills - able to build relationships with all levels within the organization; excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good problem-solver who is able to be creative/troubleshoot and overcome daily technical challenges
• Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word & Excel)
• Valid H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid Certificates and valid driver’s license
• Able to work in seasonal weather conditions
• Must be available to work overtime and callouts as required.
