Title: Senior Project Manager, Tech Ops Strategic
Salary: $TBD
Position: Full -Time Contract

What is this?

This Tulsa, OK position will be responsible for leading and managing large and small-scale Tech Ops projects that are strategic to meeting the company’s objectives, while ensuring project goals and success criteria are met. Assignments might include coordination of efforts to improve aircraft and engine modification turnaround times, project management of aircraft retrofit programs and other ad-hoc projects involving process improvements. Position compensation will be commensurate with experience.

What does my day look like?
• Manage project plans, budgets, project risks, issues and change control
• Manage large ad-hoc projects with multiple streams
• Lead Continuous Improvement projects
• Present project updates to numerous audiences, including management, Steering Committees and senior executives
• Coordinate across multiple departments, including areas such as Tech Ops (Maintenance and Engineering), Operations Research, IT, Finance, Marketing, Integrated Operations (IOC) and CRE
• Hold vendors and internal groups accountable for delivery of tasks and assignments
• Introduce process changes and project management discipline where warranted
• Challenge the status quo and keep airline interest in the forefront of decision-making process
• Contribute to the project management expertise of the Planning organization

What does the perfect candidate look like?
• Strong project management experience, demonstrating cross-departmental coordination and successful delivery on significant-sized projects
• Demonstrated ability to execute and drive projects to completion
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience/training required
• Familiarity with Maintenance and Engineering/Technical Operations highly preferred
• Process mapping experience
• Proven financial and planning skills; high level of comfort with Excel
• Strong written and oral communications skills
• Experience using MS Project, MS Visio and other MS Office products
• Experience leveraging collaboration tools such as SharePoint to enhance project coordination
• Ability to comfortably and persuasively interact with personnel at all levels within AA
• Ability to demonstrate objectivity in the face of multiple priorities and competing interests
• Lean Six Sigma experience and Green/Black belt preferred
• Airline experience preferred
• Aircraft engine overhaul experience preferred
• Aircraft and Powerplant license helpful
• Current PMP certification highly preferred
• Planning and/or analytical experience in one or more airline areas
• MBA a plus
