Salary: $60,000-90,000 Per Year

What is this?
Local company is seeking an Estimator/Project Manager to perform and review quantity takeoff for estimates and prepare and review estimates. They will also coordinate assigned demolition projects and related activities, provide information to others, and implement and maintain services within guidelines and standards to achieve a successful project financially and efficiently for the company and the owner.

What does my day look like?
• Research, track, develop, and pursue demolition contract leads that fit the project metric
• Quantity take offs and estimates for demolition projects
• Review of project documents to establish a complete understanding of bid requirements
• Prepare and review estimates with General Manager
• Prepare and execute all bid documents required for bid submission per the provided requirements
• Participation in trade meetings as needed
• Submit request for bid bonds and insurance to surety company
• Maintain the schedule for bidding projects and pre-bid meetings
• Maintain bid tracking log of all bids enter all bidders’ information as available
• Prepare all-inclusive scope of work lead tickets for review with Project Managers
• Attend project meetings as necessary
• Oversee the assigned projects from start to finish
• Manage office staff, project managers, supervisors and crew members as required to accomplish overall goals of assigned projects
• Assist in recruiting / hiring employees for all positions
• Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identify resources needed
• Create teams and assign individual responsibilities to foremen
• Attend meetings to provide feedback with owners / contractors, as required
• Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule by others
• Devise project work plans and schedules; make revisions as and when needed
• Communicate effectively with all parties involved in the project, owner, contractors
• Assist in providing safe means and methods to foremen throughout project duration
• Ensure project documents are complete
• Ensure complete understanding of scope of work to be performed by company under contract
• Make assessments of change orders and added tasks that may be requested on site
• Maintain working relationship with general contractor project team
• Prepare, review, and submit payment applications to owner/general contractor

What does the perfect candidate look like?
Education/License:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience (Preferred)
• 5 years of general contracting, subcontracting or estimating (Preferred)
• 5 years of demolition experience (Preferred)
• Asbestos Inspector License (Preferred)
• OSHA 30 Hour

Required Abilities:
• Proficiency in the following software programs
• Microsoft Word, Excel, Projects, and Outlook (Must)
• Onscreen Take Off or Blue Beam (Preferred)
• Interpretation of plans, specifications, instructions to bidders (Must)
• Efficient in time management, personal skills, and interactions with property owners, general contractors, other subcontractors, and field crews. (Must)
