What is this?
Local company is seeking a Director for their Digital Channels. The leader will operate as a Digital Marketing Specialist/Project Manager as they build out the team. The initial focus will be on the optimization of the company’s merchandise and brands to drive digital sales of products.

What does my day look like?
• Manage the key critical online relationships with key customers in the USA
• Become the subject matter expert for web optimization, digital marketing content management and SEO strategies and tactics
• Work with trade and web teams to advise customers on best practice techniques online and support them in marketing brands and products direct to the consumer
• Review and analyze analytics and site traffic to gauge positive and negative changes for the company and their customers
• Find ways to improve sites structure, crawling, and indexation
• Create scalable and effective link building campaigns
• Review and analyze competitor sites to understand their web, SEO/SEM, link building, content marketing and social strategies.
• Perform keyword research to optimize existing content and uncover new opportunities
• Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
• Provide recommendations and execute strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals
• Help to create and support marketing content to socialize and use for social media purposes (e.g. customer videos briefs, customer case studies, blog posts, etc.)
• Assist in development and execution of communication/content strategies


What does the perfect candidate look like?
• BA/BS degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications
• 5+ years’ experience in SEM, SEO and website management
• Passion for SEO and overall internet/digital marketing
• Experience with audience segmentation and dynamic content
• Proficient with tools such as Episerver, BrandWatch, MOz, Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools
• Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
• Excellent on-page and off-page skills
• Proven experience directly managing websites both with and without CMS
• Detail-oriented with ability to deliver data-driven results, analysis, testing and application of findings.
• Very strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS Office software
• A solid understanding of HTML and CSS
• The ability to work with back-end SEO elements such as .htaccess, robots.txt, metadata, site speed optimization, and related skills
• Proven success in link building and viral strategies
• The ability to deploy an effective local and long-tail search strategy
• A deep understanding of mobile strategy and how it relates to SEO
• A solid grasp of how blogging, social media, and related strategies go hand-in-hand with SEO
• Experience in building inbound organic search traffic and improving SERPs
• A background in creating reports showing web analytics data and site evaluations
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
• Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.
