Title: Customer Service Representative

Salary: $16.00 per hour

Position: Temp to Hire

What is this?

This is a service position; therefore, you are always serving either an internal or external customer. Customer service representatives are responsible for setting a positive tone with the customer as they are the first person with whom customers interact.

What does my day look like?

  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve challenging problems.
  • Answer multi-line phone; take notes, and record information accurately such as customer's name, address, service needs, etc.
  • Prepare work orders in an accurate and timely manner, schedule service calls, and dispatch technicians to the appropriate jobs. - Keeping records of service calls and work orders
  • Language Skills: Applicant must have the ability to accurately type reports, business correspondence, and assist in updating procedure manuals using excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, other employees, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical Skills: Applicant must have the ability to apply basic math concepts.
  • Strong Customer Service skills: Your voice tone should be friendly, confident, and reassuring. Honesty in communication is required.
  • Excellent communication, strong writing, analytical, and creative skills.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy of information relayed is essential.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and proficiency in business vocabulary to effectively represent the company.
  • Filing and organizing daily paperwork.

  • Manage multiple tasks and handle high stress situations.

What does the perfect candidate look like?

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 3-5 years of customer service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

What will the physical requirements be?

Physical requirements for positions include: arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity enough to use a keyboard and telephone; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds; may be subject to walking, standing, sitting, and reaching; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks. Any physical restrictions should be discussed or noted within the interview process.
