Salary: $19-20 an hour
Position: Temp-to-Hire


Local Tulsa NON-Profit is seeking an Accounts Payable team member! This role will work directly with the Controller. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the day-to-day operations in the areas of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivables and vendor management.

As an Accountant, a typical day for you might include the following:
1. Responsible for the processing of incoming donations.
2. Booking pledges, daily deposit and scanning to banks.
3. Reconciles expenses account monthly.
4. Create weekly and monthly aging reports
5. Run reports as needed in Blackbaud (donor database)
6. Responsible for processing and preparing monthly pledge reminders.
7. Gathers data in preparation for external auditor review.
8. Compiles vendor invoices at year-end for accrual into the correct year.
9. Set up ACH payments for vendors.
10. Run necessary financial reports for donor relations department to submit within grant requests.
11. Create year end donation letters to be distributed to BOD and donors.
12. Process 1099’s.
13. Assists in researching discrepancies with vendor companies.
14. Onboarding and maintaining vendor files.
15. Assist with daily administrative tasks including donor acknowledgment letters, mass mailings and other administrative tasks
16. Performs other projects or duties as reasonably requested by the Controller.

This job might be for you if:
• Associates Degree and/or 2 years of experience in accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliation and/or clerical office management.
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and the ability to learn new software.
• Ability to work with other staff effectively and proactively.
• Strong communications skills written and verbal by conducting positive interactions with colleagues, visitors, donors and other business contacts.
• Knowledge of office functions, equipment and software.

While performing the duties of this job:
You may be constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. You also may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
