Title: Accounting Clerk

Salary: $16.00 - $17.00/hour

Position: Temporary to Hire

Tulsa hospitality-focused business is looking for a Full-Time Accounting Clerk.

As an Accounting Clerk, a typical day for you might include the following:

  • Perform weekly payroll department operations
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits, 401K, etc.
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll company
  • Assist with Human Resources for benefit administration
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Process manual checks
  • Create end of month payroll-related journal entries including payroll accrual, etc.
  • Monthly insurance review to ensure employee benefits are properly administered
  • Perform and record monthly inventories
  • Assist with preparation for annual audits

This job might be for you if:

  • Have a High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience processing payroll
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel

While performing the duties of this job:

You may be constantly required to sit and use hands to operate telephone, type and operate computer and mouse. You also may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
